The Los Angeles have acquired right-handed pitcher Brock Stewart from the Minnesota Twins, according to ESPN’s Jeff Pasan.

Stewart, 33, has won a 2.38 ERA this season with 41 strikeouts in 34 innings. His expected era is even better at 2.25 in the 98th percentile of MLB.
Stewart generates a ton of swings and mistakes at a whimsical percentage of 32.8 in the 93rd percentile of MLB. He has five pitches and uses mainly four-seam fastballs, while also using sweepers, changeups, cutters and sinkers.
Stewart was originally drafted by the in the sixth round of the 2014 MLB Draft. He made his L.A. debut in 2016 and was in the organization until midway through the 2019 season.

The were targeting highly leveraged right-handed rescuers at this year’s trade deadline. Stewart fits perfectly into that mold.
In 36 appearances against right-handed batters this season, Stewart has allowed a batting average of just .104 with an OPS of .327. He has 29 strikeouts in 67 at-bats.
Stewart will also not be eligible to strike free agency until 2028.
