Milwaukee Bucks star Damien Lillard has been injured at the end of the season.
In his third game since he returned from his thrombus diagonis, the Milwaukee Bucks superstar suffered from yet another brutal setback.
Fighting for the Bucks to maintain NBA playoff hopes in Game 4, Damian Lillard suddenly stumbled on the ground without contact when he tapped the ball to Garry Torrent Jr.
Lillard grabbed her left foot until the Indiana Pacers secured their next possession. He received support from the team to the locker room. There, they announced that the Bucks would not return to the game in the first quarter.
Lillard’s injuries, which had a major impact on the Bucks’ final 129-103 loss, are feared that it is a tear to the Achilles tendon, requiring a full recovery for several months.
From what happened to Lillard, everyone’s main focus and attention immediately shifted to Giannis Antetocomo.
Antetokounmpo maintained his optimism when Lillard went out indefinitely this month to recover from his blood clots. However, this recent injury by his Bucks definitely requires a considerable amount of processing due to the Greek sense.
In the post-match press, Antetocomo only offered words comforting and empowering for Lillard.
“It’s obviously hard to see someone go through something like that. You don’t want anyone to get hurt and you don’t know how serious the injury is,” he said in a post-match press.
“You want the best case scenario, but it doesn’t matter if he’s your teammate, your opponent or not. We spend a lot of time and effort on our work, get healthy and try to help our team, so we don’t want to see someone get hurt.
“You don’t want to get off because you don’t know how it will affect your career progressing, but at the same time, I’m talking about my teammate Dame.
“Like I said before, I have a lot of respect for him. A lot of people don’t know what Dame has to deal with, but I was around him every day.
“It’s difficult to be in his position, but I think he’s one of the toughest and most mentally toughest people I’ve ever been and that’s why he’s him and he’s going to overcome all the obstacles that are in front of him.
“Everyone will be there for him. Whatever obstacles are for him, he will overcome them and help him overcome them.”
Since winning it all in the franchise’s second championship in 2020-21, the Bucks have endured a ton of brutal injuries over the next four seasons.
They failed to defend the title the following season after Khris Middleton sprained his knee in the 2022 playoffs.
When Antetokounmpo hurt his back, their plans to do it in 2022-23 were ruined, eventually leading to a historic collapse of the Bucks in the first round with Jimmy Butler and the eighth seeded Miami Heat.
The Antetokounmpo, which was attacked by calves in the past 2024, was not available for the playoff Bucks as the Pacers defeated them in six games in the opening round meeting. And this time, it’s likely that Lillard will not be available for the rest of the year, so the Bucks may be out again.
But for now, despite facing a 3-1 series lead imposed by the Pacers in Game 5 set in Indiana on April 29th, Anteto Compo’s will shine to navigate the Bucks and continue their title hunt, even without Lillard.
“I don’t believe in bad luck, man,” Giannis said if you think the Bucks have endured bad luck from a health perspective since the 2021 title won. “I am so blessed that I cannot believe in bad luck.
“I think it happens for a reason, and you know, you know, I want (Lillard) to be the best. We love him. We support him. We’ve come to keep moving forward.
“Someone stepped up, played good basketball and made sure they won the game.”
