Golden State Warriors season featured many storylines, ranging from concerns about Stephen Curry’s injury to Jimmy Butler’s trade impact and Jonathan Kuminga’s questionable future.

However, one aspect that is often overlooked is worthy of great attention. This is an impressive debut campaign for Rookie Center Quinten Post.

The Post emerged as a key piece for the Warriors, helping the franchise secured a play-in spot and advanced to the Western Conference semi-finals. His ability to stretch the floor was in stark contrast to traditional centers like Kevon Rooney and Trace Jackson Davis.

The rookie’s shooting ability became his calling card, averaging an impressive 40.8% from the 3-point range during the regular season, appearing in 42 games with 14 starts.

Head coach Steve Kerr recently gave praise to his rookie Big Man and expressed optimism about the future of the post despite claiming he was targeted in the Rockets Series.

“I have great hopes for Quinten’s posts. I thought Quinten had a great rookie season. He showed the impact he could make.

Carr’s comments highlight how the Post responded to the Warriors’ needs for a modern-day big man who could create offensive spaces.

Warriors fans have expressed mixed reactions to the post’s rookie performance, with many specific areas identifying areas for growth. The most common criticism focuses on his need to add muscle mass and improve overall strength.

“These guys are in the NBA and we’re talking about improvements. He’s completely failed on the biggest stage. These guys need to go back to the gym and weight room to work.

These guys are in the NBA and we’re talking about improvements. He completely failed at his biggest stage. These guys need to go back to the gym and weight room and do the job. He needs to earn a little pound and work on his move. He moves like he has two left legs!

Another fan, who was noted to develop into an elite center similar to Ivica Zubac or Isaiah Hartenstein, if they promise to gain weight in the weight room and spend extra time.

“The mail needs to be bundled. Like the tall people in Zubac, like Hartenstein of the world.”

You need to post. Like the tall men in Zubac, Hartenstein of the world.

However, defensive contradictions continue to be a major concern for the fanbase. Post’s tendency to rely heavily on jump shots rather than establishing the existence of the post has also attracted criticism from supporters who want to see more versatility with his offensive approach.

“Stop the jump and the more disciplined jumps become defensively faster and you get the post game.”

Stop jumping, more disciplinary action is faster and stop getting post games

“He showed flashes at home, but the moment the def grew too big for him,” another fan added in connection with the playoffs.

And then I asked one more question: “The world is full of competitive basketball leagues, do you tell me that Dub can’t get the best center 7-foot bullying anywhere in the other league?”

Another Warriors fan suggested that it could serve as a valuable trade asset in a potentially blockbuster deal, especially in hypothetical debate involving Giannis Antetokounmpo and Milwaukee Bucks.

“Ker clearly only supports the value it uses as part of Giannis’ trade works,” the comment read.

Brad literally couldn’t play in the playoffs, Carr clearly only supports the value he uses as part of Giannis’ trade work 🤔

This speculation reflects the ongoing debate as to whether Post represents a long-term solution at the centre or a developmental part that can be packaged for established star talent.

Whether he has developed into a floor stretching center, the franchise has long sought or has become a trade tip to pursue the talent of the Championship Caliber.
