The Golden State Warriors suffered another loss, dropping to 9-7.
The Golden State Warriors recently lost 96-110 to the Miami Heat in a game without Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green.
Will the OKC Thunder surpass the Warriors’ 73-9 season record?
It is clear that they are struggling without their star players, as their rotation players cannot carry the team on their backs. Brandin Podzemski scored 20 points but was unable to consistently lead the offense.
Veteran guard Buddy Hield added 18 points, but committed four turnovers and shot just 26.7 percent from 3-point range.
The Warriors’ reliance on superstars has proven particularly alarming for Curry. The 37-year-old two-time MVP has missed multiple games this season due to health issues.
Without Curry, the Warriors’ record was 1 win, 3 losses. When he plays, the team is 8-5 with a winning percentage of 61.5%, a dramatic difference that exposes flaws in roster construction.

Given Curry’s age and inability to play every night, this dependence is dangerous, especially with Golden State facing numerous back-to-back games. Through 13 games, he is averaging 27.9 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.6 rebounds.
Last season, the Warriors lost to Minnesota when Curry was sidelined with an injury, and that pattern could be repeated.

Steve Kerr and the Warriors’ front office will have to find a solution through adjusting the rotation to cover Curry’s absence or trade. Jonathan Kuminga clearly represents an asset in the trade.
The young forward got off to a strong start, but his form declined and he has since battled injuries for several games.
He doesn’t seem to be able to provide the consistent performance the team needs, and he’ll be disposable if Curry gets reliable help back in the championship window.
On the other hand, if the Warriors want to go all-in on a trade, other players such as Podzemski, Hield, and Trayce Jackson-Davis could also be considered assets.
