Gus Atkinson injured
Gus Atkinson was discomfort in two Zimbabwe Test innings, bowling just three overs on the final day of Trent Bridge’s Test match.
English Pacers are under the supervision of the English medical staff. There have been no reports revealed by the English Cricket Committee regarding its return to Atkinson.
“He will now undergo periods of rehabilitation under the supervision of the English medical team. No substitutions will be added to the ODI team,” the ECB said in a statement.
Although no returns have been confirmed for Gus Atkinson’s Indian Test Series, according to English media reports, Atkinson is suitable for the 5 Test Match Series against India, which will begin on June 20th.
The ECB has not announced an alternative to Atkinson, the ODI team in the three-match ODI series against the West Indies.
Jofra Archer is also excluded from the West Indies series
Jofra Archer was also on the team of the English team in the ODI series against the West Indies, but was ruled out due to a thumb injury.
Archer maintained a thumb damage in IPL 2025 before the tournament halt and did not return to IPL after the stop. Archer is also closely monitored by the English medical team and could return to the Test Series against India.
