Interesting new reports have emerged regarding Harry Kane’s future as Tottenham look to bring him back and Bayern Munich struggle to keep hold of their star striker.
Manchester United are also set to make Kane their top target next summer, but Spurs are currently thought to be in pole position to re-sign their former hero.
This is according to TEAMtalk, who say that Kane is aiming to break the Premier League goalscoring record currently held by Alan Shearer.
Kane left Tottenham a few years ago with 213 goals in the Premier League, but looking at his current form it’s easy to see why he’s dreaming of a chance to surpass Shearer’s record of 260 goals.
Harry Kane is on fire in front of goal right now
This Premier League record is one that Kane would definitely get if he wanted it, with the England international currently on an impressive 15 goals in his last eight games across all competitions for club and country.
At 32, he’s not getting any younger, but he seems to be in top form right now, and there’s a good chance he could play into his late 30s like Robert Lewandowski, or into his 40s like Cristiano Ronaldo.
It would be exciting to see Kane return to England, but TEAMtalk claim it is understandable that Bayern would want to keep him.
| Harry Kane’s career | game | the goal |
| tottenham | 435 | 280 |
| bayern munich | 106 | 103 |

Will we see Kane return to the Premier League?
Kane has been as world-class at Bayern as he was at Spurs, and now that he has won a few trophies, he may feel more comfortable returning to England to chase that record.
Tottenham want him back and he seems to have made them their preferred choice, but perhaps United’s problem is that they are not as strong as they once were and may not be able to offer European football.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out, but Bayern will do everything in their power to keep this goal machine around for as long as possible.
