Collymore lyrically dictates Liverpool’s interest in Wirtz
Speaking in the exclusive column on catch-offside, Collymore believes Wirtz’s signature is something Liverpool’s signature is something that needs to be signed, despite the presence of Dominique Zobosilai, who will attack the first-choice midfielder on Arne Slot’s team.
“I really like Florian Wiltz’s future signature to Liverpool. People say he’s not necessarily the kind of person he needs, but when you have the opportunity to sign a player of his quality, you accept it.
“I value Dominique Schizoboschlei, but Wiltz is on a different level in that he can do a lot on the football pitch. He can move Liverpool forward in one or more ways. I hope he will be played in an offensive position next season.
“Wirtz, Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong are a very good start to Liverpool’s transfer window and they are looking for a strong position to maintain their Premier League title. This is worse news for Arteta.”
