Manchester United is reportedly considering selling midfielder Casemiro despite recent rises in the recent form under manager Reuben Amorim.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has shown that the club’s co-owner INEO is open to allowing international vacations in Brazil if appropriate offers are presented.
Initially on the sidelines in Amorim’s early matches, Casemiro later reestablished himself as a key player.
He made 20 appearances under Amorim, contributed to three assists and played a pivotal role in Manchester United’s comeback victory over Olympic Lyon.
However, his impressive form may not have won a place for Man United next season. The Red Devils are looking to make changes to their team and are keen to add younger, more athletic players to the midfield.
In that case, Casemiro could potentially be offloaded this summer despite being one of the best players in recent games.
While writing for Givemesport, Romano reported:
“Yes, that’s still possible. If a good proposal for the player and the club arrives, he can still leave.”
Man United may have changed the middle of next season
Along with Casemiro, Christian Eriksen is another player who has been out of the club since this season when his deals expired.
This is set to be the club’s first summer transfer window under Amorim, and the club has decided to assist the manager in making changes to the team to improve performance.
They reached the Europa League semi-finals this season, but their performance in the Premier League is disappointing and they are set to finish in the worst position ever.
The Saudi Arabian club had previously expressed interest in Casemiro, but was thwarted by his high wages and the evaluation of Man United.
Casemiro has been on the contract for a year and is reportedly keen to meet it. However, club economic considerations can affect their decisions.
With Cobby Mine left, the midfield situation could be a major concern for the club. Young people are linked to movements away from the club.
