Manchester United are in touch with “superstars” Barcelona wants to sign for free this summer.
Man UTD creates a memorable Europa League comeback with Lyon
The Red Devils produced one of the best European comebacks in recent history with Lyon on Thursday evening, reaching the Europa League semi-finals in the process.
Reuben Amorim’s side appeared to be cruising to the final four before Lyon scored an extra time. Despite having 10 men, League One side took a two-goal lead with just 10 minutes left.
However, goals from Bruno Fernandez, Cobby Mine and Harry Maguire’s winners at the time of injury caused a wild scene at Old Trafford, with United tallying 5-4 winners in the evening and 7-6 winners.
Man Utd has joined the Athletic Club in the past four times, with Tottenham or Bodeau/Grimt waiting for him in the final in Bilbao at the end of May.
Speaking after his dramatic victory over Lyon, Amorim said: “I was watching ’99 again. I was inspired at this moment (when I beat Bayern Munich with two late goals at Nou Camp to complete the treble), but the team was tired and felt it during the game.
“He was the only guy who could score a goal on the header and I tried to put Harry Maguire (in there) and Cobby Mine, he was getting that injury because he was really good in the short space, so he has the ability to achieve such a goal.

The Red Devils are making progress in pursuit of midfielders, but there could be competition from rival Manchester City.
Now, United’s entire focus is to win the Europa League and guarantee Champions League football at Old Trafford in 2025/26.
One player linked to the move to Man UTD is reel striker Jonathan David. With contracts finished at the end of the season, it appears Canada International is planning to find a new club in the summer. Amorim recently called on the Red Devils to pursue the 25-year-old move.
According to TBR Football, Barcelona is most likely to sign David for free this summer, but Man UTD has been in touch with striker representatives recently.
Called the “superstar”, David is also attracting attention from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool after another great season in front of the goal.
The move to Barcelona remains David’s preferred destination, but in the appearance of things, the move to Man UTD cannot be ruled out at this stage. In particular, the Red Devils still have a chance for Champions League football next season after Thursday night’s rescue mission.
