Manchester United hopes to sign Naples striker Victor Osimchen at the end of the season and will have to pay a significant wage to get the deal done.
The 26-year-old striker has been loaned out from Napoli at Galatasaray, and he was an exception for the Turks this season. He has 31 goals and eight assists to his name.
Players are also linked to transitioning to Chelsea.
Man United need Victor Osimen
Manchester United desperately needs quality strikers, and Osimhen is a world-class player. He has proven himself in France, Italy and Türkiye. He can also succeed in the Premier League. If he joined the club, he could have changed Manchester United on the offense.
He knows what it takes to play for a big club and fight for a major trophy. He helped Napoli win the league title and was able to help Manchester United win the trophy too.
The 26-year-old will be a major upgrade to Manchester United’s current options. Signing Joshua Zirksie in the summer is overwhelming, with Rasmus Hozilund still holding British football. Manchester United need more quality to attack, and Nigerians could have an immediate impact.
Osimhen is a top-class player operating at the peak of his power. He’ll want to play for a big club and fight for the trophy. Manchester United is his ideal destination.
Can Man United buy Osimhen wages?
It will be interesting to see if Manchester United are willing to accept his wage demands. Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that players will demand wages of around £200,000 a week.
He told GMS:
Manchester United certainly has a finances he can afford. It is still unknown how the situation will unfold. Signing a world-class player like him could make a big difference to the attacking unit and could help him bounce back harder next year.
