Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Patan has given a great revelation about the future of cricket between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma ahead of his White Ball Series with Australia. Patan revealed he had made a long call with Rohit Sharma about his future in cricket, adding that the batsman would like to continue playing in India.
There was speculation about the future of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. It was reported that Australia’s upcoming tour could be their last international series. However, Rohit recently passed the mandatory preseason fitness test at BCCI’s Excellence Center of Excellence amid rumors about his future.

Speaking about the Sony Sports Network, Irfan Pathan said Rohit Sharma had no plans to leave international cricket. Patan said he had a detailed conversation with the Indian captain. He described Rohit as one of India’s best whiteball players and a proven leader.

“I’m following these fitness tests. This new test (the Bronco) isn’t easy either. By passing it, it means that fitness is top notch,” Irfan Patan told reporters.
“I made a long call to learn about his future plans and he said he was very enthusiastic about ensuring he continues playing. This guy is a great leader, outstanding whiteball cricket, ODI cricket. He is also a great leader.

Irfan Pathan said Rohit and Virat Kohli could face a lack of match practice in the 50-over format. With only 27 ODIs scheduled before the tournament, Patan pointed out that the long gap between the games could affect the rhythm.
“As I said earlier, age doesn’t matter if the player is appropriate or not. But the challenge is spending time on game time, because there are a lot of gaps in terms of playing 50 over cricket.”
