Manchester United and Tottenham could reportedly be the two main teams to sign Antoine Semenyo this January.
This is the latest update from journalist Ekrem Konur, who posted on X today about the information he currently has about Semenyo’s future.
He has described the transfer battle as “hot”, with Man United and Spurs the main candidates, but there are also rumors that Liverpool are also targeting the in-form Ghanaian.
Semenyo has been in the spotlight at Bournemouth this season, and here’s Konur’s post on his status as he understandably attracts interest heading into January…
He posted:Antoine Semenyo continues to impress at Bournemouth. Tottenham and Manchester United are keeping an eye on him. Interest is already building for the January window. ”
Who else would be in contention to sign Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth?
Semenyo also has strong links with Liverpool, as journalist Indy Kaira posted about the Reds leading the race in last night’s update.
The journalist, who built a reputation for solid reporting over the summer, posted the following about Semenyo and Liverpool, so take a look below…
“Liverpool are currently leading the race to sign Antoine Semenyo,” he said. “January £90m – £100m Summer £70m Direct contact with Richard Hughes @afcbournemouth That’s big news. ”
Semenyo has been one of the best players in the Premier League this season and any big club would be lucky to land him.
Comparison of Antoine Semenyo with other Premier League attackers
| player name | Premier League total G/A this season |
| erling haaland | 10 |
| Antoine Semenyo | 9 |
| Jack Grealish | 5 |
| Mohammed Kudus | 5 |
| joan pedro | 5 |
| jadon anthony | 5 |
Semenyo has already scored a total of six goals and provided three assists, placing him second only to Manchester City’s Erling Haaland in terms of total G/A contributions in the English top flight this term.
The 25-year-old is certainly too good for Bournemouth to keep for much longer, and in fact, he is probably too good to risk a move like Man Utd’s now, given that he should be playing at the highest level.
