Henry Sejude admits that Paddy Pinblett is better than he originally thought.
Pinblet (22-3 MMA, 6-0 UFC) will take on former title challenger Michael Chandler (23-9 MMA, 2-4 UFC) at Kaseya Center in Miami on Saturday at the five-round UFC 314 co-headliner (Pay-per-view, ESPN, ESPN+).
Pimblett is a small bet favourite over Chandler, but Cejudo thinks he’s upset if he can defeat multiple previous Bellator Champion.
“I smell like upset,” Sejudo said on his “4 pounds” podcast with Kamal Usman. “Paddy Pinblett, I think he’ll take grappling. I think he might guard this guy. His hands aren’t bad either. I think he can force Michael Chandler to do something to the bottom.
“But I feel like Paddy Pinblett. He’s far better than I thought, what he could do, what he could do, what he could do. We have to pay tribute to the man’s name. He feels like Michael Chandler. I’m smelling upset here.”
Looking at the light sector landscape, Cejudo has had a major impact on pinbullets.
“I believe this will put him in a really good position after beating Michael Chandler,” Sejude continued. “He could be one fight from fighting for the title.”
