Despite Gary O’Neill’s looting, relegation fights and the arrival of Vittle Pereira, Wolverhampton’s Wanderers always had a constant constant. Matheus Cunha.
As Pedro Neto left last summer, old gold had to be someone stepped up and in the shape of their mercury Brazilians, they found a new amulet.
Cunha was an exception this semester, scoring 15 goals and providing four assists in 29 games on the way to sign a new contract in the winter.
Isn’t it surprising that he attracted the attention of both Arsenal and Manchester United? Sadly, the summer exit seems to be.

But that wasn’t all positive coverage for Cunha, as the incident in Bournemouth says to you.
The latest in the ban on Matheus Cunha
In a FA Cup clash with Bournemouth last month, Cunha was shown a straight red card for the incident with left-back Milos Kerkez.
He assaulted the Hungarian three times, kicked him, then targeted the defender for a headbutt.
He was later charged by the FA for “behaving inappropriate ways” and was given a three-game ban.
It came after he was handed a two-game suspension early in the season due to an incident against Ipswich when he grabbed a member of the security team’s glasses.
Well, earlier this week, the news announced that the attacker was handed an additional one-game suspension and was slapped with a fine of £50,000. That means they won’t play again until the clash with the Spurs on April 13th.
After another incident regarding international obligations with Brazil, Cunha does not appear to leave the news.
What happened between Cunha and Vinicius Jr.
The 25-year-old is in the early stages of his international career.
Handed over the first of his 11 caps in 2021, the former Atletico Madrid forward did not make one appearance in his country in 2024.
However, his excellent form at Molineux prompted the call for Selecao’s recent fixture sets to Colombia early on Friday morning and early Wednesday.
Brazil defeated Colombia 2-1, with Kuni continuing for the final 30 minutes.
Vinni Jr. won the final Gasp winner in the suspension time, but Cunya and his teammate Rafinya were the least pleased with him as he was replaced.
why? Now, as the footage shows below, the Real Madrid superstar wasted time and the yellow card would have meant he missed the match against Argentina.
Cunha and Raphinha didn’t just urge him once to get off the field immediately, but they did so twice. Talk about being a good teammate.
