This is the third time I’ve had the charm of Jamahar Hill and Halil Roun Tree.
On Friday, the UFC announced the headline headline for Hill and Rowtree’s first trip to promote to Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan, which will be held on June 21st. The pairing has been scheduled twice previously, including the original main event spot at UFC Kansas City before Hill was forced to withdraw due to injury.
Hill appears to be on track after suffering consecutive stop losses against past champions Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazuka. Former light heavyweight champion himself, “Sweet Dreams” is hoping for his first victory since winning the title against Glover Teixeira in the main event of UFC 283 in January 2023.
Rountree also suffered a suspension loss to Pereira at UFC 307 this October, halting his five winning streak.
The UFC has also announced a promotional return for Kyoto Kyoto, which will feature his first octagon for the first time in almost nine years. The former Lysine and Bellator champions face Tatyrulambekov.
Additionally, a heavyweight match between Curtis Braides and Lizvan Kunien will be played on the cards.
