Talks are underway as the Sacramento Kings are about to try to make a deal with the Golden State Warriors.

Prior to free agency, the Golden State Warriors were warned that the situation at Jonathan Kuminga could pull out longer than they wish.

After 3 days, there is no solution, but I’m interested in Jonathan Kuminga. The central team is the Sacramento Kings.

The king is associated with providing Malik Monks in trade with the Warriors. However, this alone is not enough to close the transaction as Golden State is not driven by the proposal.

The three-team trade involving the Golden State Warriors, Sacramento Kings and the Detroit Pistons is being discussed.

The negotiations also concern Dennis Schroeder, a former Golden State Warriors player who was part of the team between December 2025 and February 2025.

Schroeder is set to join the Sacramento Kings in free agency despite a promising stint with the Detroit Pistons.

NBC Sports reports that Schroeder’s movement is the trigger for Kuminga’s potential trade, sending Malik Monk to Detroit rather than Golden State.

“On Tuesday, Schroeder reportedly agreed to a three-year, $45 million contract.

“The king has taken turns sending monks to the Pistons, sending second-year NBA guard Devin Carter, and getting new big man Dario Salic to warrior, sources said.

Schroder’s contract is not traded in Kuminga’s deal, but the move sets the table for Sacramento’s plans.

Another deal also discusses the historic seven-team deal across the league involving the Golden State Warriors.

Athletic reports: “The Rockets and Suns are working to expand Kevin Durant’s trade to deals that include seven league-recorded teams.

“Other teams involved in negotiations at this time include the Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Net, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves.”
