The Los Angeles Future Hall of Fame Clayton Carshaw created the first of many rehabilitation starts at Triple A Oklahoma City on Wednesday.
Kershaw, who is not eligible to leave the 60-day injury list until May 17, looked sharp in his first real-life game action since last August.

The left-hander pitched three innings and allowed a run that scored zero on two hits on the zero walk. He had two strikeouts and threw a total of 30 pitches for the strike.
He faced 10 batters in three jobs. He generated five swings and mistakes, and his fastball came to the top at 89 mph.

Kershaw underwent multiple surgeries this offseason to deal with injuries to his toe and left knee. It was initially unclear when Kershaw could return, but as he has already been assigned to rehab, it is clear that he will come back sooner than he is late.
It will be interesting to see how the build the car show as he is not eligible to return from a 60-day IL in another month. If Kershaw pitches on a weekly schedule, he will begin four more rehabilitations before returning to LA as soon as he qualifies.
Kershaw has become the 20th player in MLB history and is only 32 strikeouts from reaching 3,000 strikeouts in his career.
