How much Josh Giddy wants for a new Chicago Bulls deal is influenced by the Orlando Magic Deal with Jalen Suggs

Josh Giddey is one of the biggest free agents on the market. He’s probably back with the Chicago Bulls but wants a deal similar to Orlando Magic Guard’s Jalen Thugs.

The Chicago Bulls have already made several deals to accommodate Josh Giddy ahead of his return. However, he has not signed a contract because his camp knows he deserves more money. Giddy has points about his contract after an impressive run with the Bulls from 2024-25.

Australian security guards averaged 14.6 points, 8.1 rebounds and 7.2 assists in the 2024-25 season. It was an impressive campaign that showed significant improvements from his previous years. He is an afterthought of the Oklahoma City Thunder, which is why they traded him for Alex Caruso.

Giddey knows it’s worth a contract worth about $30 million a year. It’s a massive transaction, but it’s good for today’s NBA contract space. If the Bulls want to sign him, they need to increase their offers.

Jalen Suggs signed a five-year contract worth $150.5 million in October 2024. This was so much for Suggs. The former Gonza Gabledog has become the team’s top guard.

Suggs’ trading has impacted the market as he makes around $30 million a year. Giddey is the latest player seeking similar deals, as he and his camp believe he deserves it. He was impressive for the Bulls during the 2024-25 season and he will continue to move forward.

Giddey is a restricted free agent. That is, the Bulls can match every offer given to him. However, he wants to stay in Chicago and play for the Bulls, but the contract amount is a sticking point.

Most teams in the league don’t give him that because it’s a known number. He is a talented player, but due to his unique profile he is not a popular name. Giddey is not the fastest security guard there, but he is effective enough with his number.

Giddey suits bulls well, but they want him to sign a smaller deal. That’s what stands in favor of his signature, which should lead to a compromise between the parties.

Giddey proved he was more than just a guard during the 2024-25 season. He was a good stuffer on the stats sheet, but he also made the game exciting for the Bulls. The Australian security guard is happy to be a passerby and he finds a way to break down the defense.

He’s only 22 years old and can gamble a player like Giddey. He has already proven he can put numbers on the list, and the bull needs more talent on the roster. Matas Buselis may be a star, but Coby White broke out as one of the best guards in the Eastern Conference.

Bulls and Josh Giddey have a good dialogue, according to sources, but Giddey Camp is delving into the Suggs deal. Keep your posture.

With Giddey on the roster, they have playmakers and underrated scorers to complement his Bulls teammates. The Bulls are fighting for a playoff spot and were able to surprise people in the 2025-26 season.

If we can resolve the details of Giddey’s contract, it will benefit all parties. The saga will not end until the front office and Giddy camp agree to the numbers. In the meantime, the Suggs trade is fundamental, but the Bulls will do their best to pull it down.
