Just like how they fought in their Premier League title last season, Liverpool and Arsenal are set to oppose each other in the race to sign Premier League stars.
Both Premier League Giants made some early eye-catching moves this summer in the transfer market.
Liverpool managed to complete the signatures of Liverpool’s Jeremy Fripon and Florian Wiltz, but the gunners are approaching the completion of the signatures of Real Sociedad’s former red target Martin Zubimendi.
However, there are Premier League players who are attracting attention from both clubs.
Crystal Palace defender Mark Gehi, who is about to enter the final year of his contract at Selhurst Park, likes to leave the FA Cup winner this summer along with some of the top clubs eager to sign him.
Mark Guech wants to move towards Liverpool
According to Football Insider, the English international defender is ready to refuse to move to Arsenal in support of joining Premier League champion Liverpool.
The 24-year-old is likely to be sitting on the gunner’s bench, as Gabriel Magalhair and William Saliba are present at the club, which may be the reason behind his decision.
Former Chief Scout Mic Brown, who has insider information on transfer-related news, provided an update on the future of the Palace Defender.
“Mark Guech hopes to play regular football next season.” He told the soccer insider.
“Where he goes, he has one eye in the World Cup where he wants to play a vital role, so that will be his priority.
“If they can’t promise Saliva and Gabriel will be by their side at Arsenal, he will be ready to turn them down.
“The same goes for other clubs. If he doesn’t play first team football, I don’t think he’ll go.
“We’ve had the same story about him for a year, will he go to Newcastle, Arsenal, Liverpool?
“Of those, I think Newcastle and Liverpool are ready to offer him a regular football.
“Newcastle, especially though they were still looking for, I don’t know how strong their interest is, after they missed last year.
“I think Guehi can go somewhere like Liverpool and establish himself in his team because he’s enough to do that and if he goes he will show it.
Guehi is supported to shine in Anfield
The first team guarantee appears to be a driver of Guehi’s decision. It’s up to Liverpool to strengthen his interest in signing him as players clearly support the move to Anfield.
Former striker Troy Deaney supported the Talksport move.
“He’ll work well next to Van Dik. That’s a long-term succession plan for Liverpool.”
Arsenal remains in the mix, but his intention to play regular first-team football changed the tide in favor of the Premier League champions.
