Manchester United crashed to lose to Tottenham Hotspur in the final of the UEFA Europa League last night, but Luke Shaw helped Ruben Amorim make it a success with the club.
The Manchester United defender looked back on the post-match game and the disappointing season, and also explained the players’ feelings about manager Reuben Amorim.
The Portuguese manager has been heavily criticized since his arrival, and Manchester United have struggled under him. But Shaw believes he is the right guy to return to where they belong. He also added that all Manchester United players feel the same way about their managers.
Amorim has player support
The show said on Sky Sports:
“Ruben, for me, I can speak for me and speak for all players. He is the right manager to bring us back where this club should be.”
Can Reuben Amorim continue his job?
It will be interesting to see if Manchester United will become patient with Amorim and give him another opportunity to turn things around next season. Amorim has previously shown his quality in Portugal, but that hasn’t yet seen whether he can deliver in the Premier League.
If Manchester United wants to do well next season, they will definitely have to improve their team. They are currently 16th in the league table and will not be competing in European football next season. This is a fitting time to rebuild the team during the summer transfer period and bring in players who can help with bounce.
Their height clubs should regularly fight for major trophies and compete in the UEFA Champions League. Last night’s defeat and this season in general, it has been a devastating blow for the Red Devils, with important decisions to head to the summer window.
