Draymond Green made predictions for the Golden State Warriors owner and Quentin Post before the breakout season.
Aside from losing Stephen Curry due to a back injury, it was a great victory for the Golden State Warriors vs. Toronto Raptors.
Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green were stars of the show, but the rookie forward Quinten Post continues to advance this season as the Warriors elite shooters.
During the season, Post was impressed by head coach Steve Kerr and scored a consistent minute in the rotation.
The rest of the league may just know about the Post’s excellent shooting ability, but it appears that Green has already identified the 25-year-old talent in training camp.
In fact, Greene has recently reflected a conversation with Warriors owner Joe Lacob about the Post.
“In training camp. I told Joe Lacob, he can shoot the ball very well. He’s a good position defender and he’s not soft at all.
“Joe knew I was watching me like I was crazy this year. He said it would make an impact, and he was in the G League, but he went his way here.
“Yeah, no surprises, but when I saw him at training camp and even before training camp, I came to play with the guys a bit and used QP to win all the games.
“And it’s not surprising to me what he’s doing. I don’t want to see ‘I knew’, but I did. ”
As a 13-year NBA veteran, Green has a lot of experience and basketball wisdom on his side to identify talented players. It showed how his predictions about the Post turned out to be true.

At the Warriors’ recent post-game meeting after the victory over the Raptors, the Post was told what Green had done to him during training camp.
The 52nd overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft seems to have no idea about Green’s actions.
“It’s pretty cool. I didn’t know that. I didn’t see Dray all summer, and there was one run where he came to the building.
“And we were on the same team. We were cooking that day, and I don’t think we lost the game.
“So I probably gave myself a favor from what you know, I had a really good day that day, so he probably had a good impression of me. But yeah, I think he saw it right.
Certainly it’s great to hear. The Post also talked about Green’s recent run. There, we found a groove from the three-point line.
“He’s known for his defense, but offensively, he’s watching the game in a truly advanced and special way.
“I think we’re at our best when Draymond is offensive, and he was hot in the first half, so that’s how we need to play for him.”
Green may be the top name to watch out for this year’s NBA Defensive Player of the Year award, but his offensive skills cannot be overlooked.
Green proved that against the Raptors when he finished the night with 21 points while shooting 35.7% from the three-point line.
