Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James can often be an easy target for the media.
A perfect example of this was seen during the 2024-25 NBA season when ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith appeared to be talking about LeBron James.
This was when Stephen A questioned James as the father of his eldest son, Bronnie James.
Throughout his career, LBJ has largely ignored the story, but this time the La Lakers star confronted Smith about his actions.
While most people believed that LBJ-Smith Beef had settled, ESPN analysts proved they were wrong again.
The veteran sports personality recently appeared on the show “Gil’s Arena” at former NBA star Gilbert Arena. On his appearance, Smith rekindled his feud with the 4x NBA champions.
“It’s not related. He doesn’t like me, I don’t like him. There’s no one to mediate. I won’t talk about him unless I ask.
“Some people say, ‘Well, why are you talking about him?” As I was asked, this is what I do to make a living, how am I going to get away by saying “no comments”? ”
As always, Smith took a jab at James’ position in the goat argument and placed him outside of Michael Jordan.
“I don’t want to talk about him. He is, in my mind, the second greatest player in basketball history. He was an incredible ambassador to a basketball game.
“He’s not given, but he’s not given…but it’s a basketball player, not a man,” Smith added.
At 40, James is already at the end of his NBA career. With that in mind, it makes sense that the Lakers star is finally applauding people who have criticized him for many years.
Back on the side of Stephen A.’s story, the first Take host continued to suggest that he receives unfair treatment behind the scenes.
“People don’t know what happened behind the scenes, the kind of thing they’ve been engaged in trying to hurt me,” Smith said.
The final result? Smith never wants to meet LBJ again.
“There are a lot of s___ I know what I don’t say… If I don’t tell him in life, then that’s fine,” he concluded.
