Tottenham Sensory Lucas Bergval has made many headlines after an exceptional start to the season and could even trigger a new transfer plan.

The 19-year-old makes the £8.5 million price tag look like a Champ change.

Since moving from Jurgardens in February 2024, Bergval has undoubtedly established himself as one of the Spurs’ best bargains in the last decade.

The Spurs defeated the La Liga Giants by signing Barcelona last year, but according to some reports, the Hansi Flick Catalan is swinging away from the teenager in his fantastic start at the N17.

Thomas Frank gave Bergval a nod in four of his first six top flight games, with the midfielder scoring Lily White’s first Premier League goal in his recent 3-0 derby victory in the London Derby.

Bergvall was awarded the Player Award for the match for his performance at London Stadium, and grabbed another a few days later, with Tottenham beating Villarreal 1-0 in the Champions League.

The ball-carrying gem has now averaged more successful dribbling than other Tottenham players in the league. The Bar Summer signed Mohamed Kudus (whoscored).

“He was great. He played really well,” he said via Fotboll Skanalen.

“He was injured from illness and he wasn’t in training camp in March and June, and I have to say he’s playing very well now.

“I didn’t watch the game yesterday, but I’ve seen the rest of his game. He’s influenced the game. He plays dynamic and force. It’s amazing to do it at such a young age. He does a good job.”

Bergvall maintains another exciting teenage talent, Archie Gray, who is Frank’s start 11, despite his excellent performances.

Pape Sarr and Bergvall are undoubtedly beginning to establish themselves as the future non-proprietability of Frank’s new-looking team, with critics celebrating the former as “going under the radar” (Martin Allen) as “important” players.

So it’s a bit surprising that CEO Vinai Vinkatesham, technical director Johan Lange, and the Lilywhites Recruitment team want to replicate the signatures of Sarr and Bergvall in future moves.

Tottenham flipped over to move Nottingham Forest Sensation Elliot Anderson

Speaking to Tottenham News, critic John Wenham says he “heard” the Spurs are watching the midfielders in a similar shape to the duo, suggesting that they could move on to Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson.

The 22-year-old has been seriously impressed ever since joining Ange Postecoglou’s side from Newcastle.

This is fully on display against the Real Betis in the Europa League, and Anderson acquired it in Thomas Thauschel’s England plan as a result of his excellent urban ground form.

“When we were in charge of post-coglu, you can see if he was really linked. He must have been a really good fit for us.” Wenham said when asked about a link to Atletico Madrid midfielder Connor Gallagher.

“But I’ve heard that the times are moving forward and there are many other midfielders Tottenham is potentially seeing. For example, there may be someone like Elliot Anderson who has a more ball-carrying style similar to Lucasberg Ball and Pape Matalsar, rather than Gallagher.”

With Bentancur locked up in a new Tottenham contract, Frank already had enough stock for the midfielder, but for the time being, this may be something the Spurs consider next summer.

Yves Bissouma is widely expected to leave the Spurs after falling to Frank’s pecking order in January or as a free agent in the second half of 2026, with Anderson standing out as a quality young, homemade potential alternative.

That being said, trustworthy journalist Henry Winter suggests that the former Magpie is worth more than £70 million.
