Manchester United legend Jaap Stam has surprisingly urged his old club not to break up with Rasmus Hojlund during his transfer period this summer.
The Red Devils have been linked to the recent major striker after Hoilund’s struggle, but Joshua Zilky wasn’t entirely convincing either.
It appears that you will be able to see Man Utd move this summer for either Victor Osimhen, Viktor Gyoker or Liam Delap.
Meanwhile, Hozilund may be sold by United, but Stam feels that Reuben Amorim should stick to him, rather than bringing in someone new.
The Dutch spoke to Freebet with a controversial view that it wasn’t Hozilund’s fault for struggling with his goal at Old Trafford.
Instead, the former United defender called out to Hojlund to get more support and better quality from his teammates.
Manchester United urged Rasmus Hozilund to stick to this summer
When asked who would sign up before this summer at MUFC, Stam replied:
He added: “Everyone knows you need service and you need the opportunity to score. That’s a problem, even if you’re under 10 hugs on a 4-3-3 system.
“For No. 9, the players around him have to create those opportunities. If they can focus more on it, and if the team can bring more quality to support him, I think Hojlund will be successful.”
Hozilund again became poor last night in a 2-2 draw to Lyon, and United need to improve him if they get better with home legs and progress in the Europa League.
If Danish International is able to produce goods between now and the end of the season, it is likely that he could save his United career.
Still, there’s no doubt that he’s running out of time. Trustworthy transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has already raised doubts about his situation by linking him to the Serie A club.
Last night, in a post on his previous Twitter and previous Twitter, Romano said: “The Serie A club is monitoring the situation at Rasmus Hoyland prior to the summer transfer period. If Manchester United decides to sell Hoyland to introduce a new striker in the summer, the Italian club is ready to begin concrete contact.”
