Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has confirmed he would like to join Manchester United when Sir Alex Ferguson took charge of the club.

Polish International has made it clear that he has already agreed to move to Manchester United, but the two clubs were unable to finalize the deal.

The 36-year-old has made it clear that he does not regret his career path, and he does not feel that he has missed any experience. The player eventually joined Bayern Munich, and he was exceptional for the German outfit. He has remained outstanding since his move to Barcelona.

He said (h/t Football Espanana): “To Manchester United. I was decided, I said yes to the club, I wanted to join Manchester United. To meet Alex Ferguson. It was my second year at Dortmund.

“It could have been a great experience, but looking back, I was playing for Bayern Munich and Barcelona. I’m very pleased with my career path. I’m going to be part of these two great clubs.

Lewandowski scored 27 league goals last season, helping Barcelona win the league title. He is one of the best strikers of his generation and there is no doubt that Manchester United has benefited greatly from his arrival. There is no doubt that he has improved them significantly and helped them with major trophies.

Man United now brings in a quality striker

Meanwhile, Manchester United desperately needed quality strikers, and they brought Benjamin Sesco with them. It will be interesting to see if the former Bundesliga player hits the ground running in England and helps them improve.

As for Lewandowski, he is on the Twilight stage of his career, but he will try to win more trophies at Barcelona. His comments certainly make you feel like there may have been Manchester United fans.
