Arsenal legend Ian Wright claims that the £100 million people Gunner paid West Ham for Declan Rice is “embarrassing.”
England International has been shining ever since joining Arsenal, and it definitely shows that he has got him at a fairly reasonable price.
Rice really stepped up for Arsenal with a memorable performance in a mid-week victory over Real Madrid, earning two sublime free kicks in a 3-0 victory.
Wright praised Rice in the latest episode of Overlap, saying former West Ham manager David Moet felt he should do something like £150 million for Rice.
See below as Light now looks like £100 million actually embarrassing…
Arsenal fans are delighted with the impact Rice has made. The 26-year-old shows that he is clearly one of the most amazing midfielders in the world at the time.
What experts say about Arsenal Star Declan Rice
Wright praised Rice and Arsenal got it for him, but his fellow critic Roy Keene debated how far he could go in terms of becoming one of the greats.
Rice is not usually a goalscorer, but Keene says that if the former Hammers star can add it to his game, he can get into that conversation.
Rice shows his incredible ability from long distances with his goal against Real Madrid, and AFC supporters are definitely keen to see if he can do it more often.
We don’t often talk about £100 million players who look like bargains, but that really seems to be the case with rice.
West Ham fans will certainly question whether the club could have paid more for him, but given that they came in the final year of their contract at London Stadium, they definitely did quite well.
