Tom Cruise would have “stoked” the director of “F1” than Brad Pitt if he had been cast in the lead role.
Pitt is playing a leading role in upcoming F1 films as former driver Sonny Hayes, who returned to Formula 1 alongside Damson Idris as a rookie teammate of Grid’s fictional team.
The film, which will be released internationally on June 25th, was produced by Jerry Brookheimer and was advised by seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton.
“Formula 1” film director Joseph Kosinski, who worked on cruises for “Top Gun: Maverick,” admitted that the 62-year-old Hollywood star “constantly pushes her to the limits.”
“Tom always pushes it to the limits, but at the same time he’s extremely capable and extremely skilled,” Kosinski told GQ Magazine.
“Both have a natural talent to drive, but yeah, we could see Tom scare us a little more.”
Graham Kelly, the action vehicle supervisor who collaborated with the “Mission Impossible” film cruise, agreed to Kosinski’s assessment.
“We would have crashed,” Kelly said. “Tom pushes it to the limit. I really make sense to the limit. It scares me.
“I mean, I did a lot of ‘Mission: Impossible’ with Tom. It’s the most stressful experience for someone who makes a car for someone like me and does a stunt with him.
“Brad, on the other hand, listens, and he knows what he’s capable of, but I think he’s the first person to say, ‘Yeah, I’m not going to do that.’ ”

F1 drivers appreciate the movie
With the exception of Max Verstappen and Lance Stroll, all F1 drivers were able to watch private screenings for the new film before the Monaco Grand Prix.
The film was praised by the F1 driver, especially for its sequence of action.
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc said: “It was really cool. Obviously we see it as a Formula 1 driver.
“But I think it’s really cool because it’s so Hollywood-like and in the end it’s not just F1 drivers. It’s for a larger audience and I thought it was absolutely great that the sport has such a film.”
Pierre Gasly of Alpine added:
Hamilton admitted that his fellow drivers were “tensty” to watch the film he produced.
“It was great to look around and see some of the reactions from the driver,” Hamilton said. “I really cared about what the drivers thought and wanted them to appreciate it… I was sitting in the middle and I was nervous.
“I then messaged them with an honest opinion…they may be off the timing, whatever the strategy is, but the great thing is, I think the sound is great. The image is incredible, it’s never been done before, so I’m really proud.”
