Liverpool has been very active in the transfer market this summer, bringing some quality signatures.
However, manager Arne Slot admits that the red has not yet been done in the market. The Liverpool manager explained that they are constantly trying to improve their teams and if there is an opportunity to bring in quality players, they will act accordingly.
Arne Slot drops Liverpool forwarding tips
“I always say another thing about Liverpool is not to take someone out of the market if there’s a chance,” he told reporters (H/T Yahoo Sports).
“It’s ultimately about quality and we’ve already got some very good signatures. In terms of quality, we’re already in the right place.”
His comments suggest that Liverpool is still active in the market, which certainly will excite fans. Liverpool spent a lot of time this summer, bringing in quality players like Hugo Ekitike, Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong.
They are deeply connected to the movements of Newcastle United striker Alexander Isaac. Swedish International is a world class player in the Premier League. It would be interesting to see if Liverpool can sign him. They were able to win the Premier League title last season and are looking to continue to promote big trophies in their upcoming campaigns.
Liverpool needs more
They need to continue improving their teams to suit things like Arsenal and Manchester City. It remains to be seen whether they will be able to end the season strongly by improving other areas of their team. Apart from high quality strikers, they should aim to bring reliable central defenders.
Jarell Quansah was sold to Bayer Leverkusen earlier this summer, and Konate’s Ibrahima has not yet signed an extension with the club. Plus, Joe Gomez can be extremely prone to injury. The club’s defensive situation needs to be addressed.
