Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter Ambati Rayudu Royal Challengers made a bold claim to the victory at Bengaluru (RCB) IPL 2025. Rayudu said the Bengaluru-based team needs to understand how difficult it is to win five titles, adding that his comments are friendly jokes rather than serious criticism.

Royal Challengeers Bengaluru, led by Captain Rajat Patidar, won his first IPL title in 2025. Virat Kohli scored the team’s best performance in the bat, averaging 54.75 and scoring a strike rate of 144.71, including a half-century of eight people.

In the bowling division, Josh Hazlewood was the team’s main wicket taker. The right-handed fast bowler scored 22 wickets in 12 matches, earning his highest 4/33 number.

On a YouTube podcast with Shubhankar Mishra, Ambati Rayudu shared predictions for the 2026 IPL season. He said that Mumbai Indians (MI) Or, Kolkatanite Rider (KKR) is a strong candidate. Rayudu also predicted the final between MI and RCB.

Speaking about Royal Challenger’s Bengaluru’s first IPL title, Rayudu said winning five championships was a tough challenge and was only achieved by Mi and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He chose MI, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, CSK and KKR as teams that could finish in the top four.

“If you look at the team now, I think MI or KKR can win. I think it’s the top 4, MI, RCB, CSK, KKR. It could be the MIRCB final and MI will win. RCB has not left RCB because they need to understand how difficult it is to win five titles,” he said on Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast..

I was happy when they won – Ambati Rayudu

Ambati Rayudu said he was happy with Bangalore’s IPL 2025 victory, adding that the team is heading in the right direction. He wanted that Rajat Patidar-The LED team was a continuous success.

“It’s just a good joke. I was happy when they won, I hope they are all the best, Unlike the RCB, I think they’re playing on the right path,” added Rayudu..

Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated the Punjab Kings (PBK) with six runs in the final at Ahmedabad. The Rajat Patidar-led side has taken great shape throughout the season. They finished second in the league stage and won their first qualifiers to advance to the finals.

Ambati Rayudu won multiple IPL titles in his career

Ambati Rayudu has made a successful IPL career. The right-handed batter won six titles. Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He began his journey at MI in 2010, playing 136 games and scoring 2,635 runs, including 14 half-centuries.

Rayudu joined CSK in 2018, spending six seasons in the franchise, earning 1,932 runs in 90 games. He retired from the tournament after helping CSK win the 2023 IPL title.

Rayudu played 204 IPL games, averaging 4,348 runs on averaging 28.23 and had a strike rate of 127.54. He was one of two players in IPL History and won the title six times.
