Agents of RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesco spoke to Fabrizio Romano about his future in an interview with Give Me Sport.
There’s been much written about Sesco and interest from Arsenal this summer, but for now there doesn’t seem to be a final agreement for the move yet.
Still, despite Arsenal linking with Swedish goal machine Viktor Gyoker in Sport Lisbon, reports from the records recently stated that Sesko is the target of Gunners’ priorities.
Currently, Romano is getting a quote from Cesco’s agent Elvis Basanovich, who has provided insight into the Slovenian international situation without giving too much.
Benjamin Sesco will not fight RB Leipzig for transfer
Importantly, however, Sesco and his representatives seem eager to leave Leipzig as friendly as possible.
The 22-year-old, who scored 39 goals over two seasons for Germany, appears unprepared to force a way out of the club, and his agents suggested he stay there longer.
“Let’s talk. Sesko is not competing with anyone,” Basanovic said.
“It’s him and him every day. We have clear plans for the future, and media speculations don’t affect us.
“Sesco is not just a striker, he’s a special striker.”
The story of fighting for low Sesco fees is not true
His agents also denied claims that he and Sesco were pushing Leipzig to lower their demands.
“This is far from true. I am 100% certain that we will respect RB Leipzig and that we will respect the decision of the next step when RB Leipzig decides to do it,” he said.
“It could be next week, or next year, or three years from now!”
He added: “Even if a player has a strong desire to move to a particular club, we will not force or threaten RB Leipzig.
“I believe this is not the right way, because the way you actually leave the club shows your value, the value you bring to your new club.
“I can understand with a very big transfer. There are many different interests, but I believe that no matter what, the world of football should be more respected.
“So we either do things the right way or don’t do them. It’s very easy and maybe it’s very complicated in the media.”
