Jimmy Butler echoes through his performance as the Golden State Warriors are eliminated in Game 7.
The Golden State Warriors are on the verge of blowing a 3-1 lead over the Houston Rockets in the first round of the 2025 NBA playoffs.
Believe it or not, Jimmy Butler played a major role in Game 5 and Game 6 losses. Yes, the same butler who looked back on the season for the Warriors.
Butler is known for taking things all at once in the playoffs, but the 35-year-old was pushed to his limits later in this opening round series.
Often, Butler is the man who brings the most energy to his team. In Game 6, Jimmy scored 27 points, but he struggled to shoot well.
According to data provided by Sofascore, Butler shot just 41% from the field and 17% from the three-point line. Butler spoke about his awful shooting display in a post-match interview.
“It’s enough. I probably had to jump up there and get a little more rebound. I was lazy,” Butler said of his return from injury.
He added: “I definitely need to chase loose balls, dive and come to Game 7. I should have done that anyway. I’m leading by citing examples.
This is the veteran approach from Jimmy. Jimmy had to defend Stephen Adams’ mammoth due to the Warriors’ Game 6 loss vs. Rocket majority.

Blowing a 3-1 lead and potentially playing on the road in the final game can often hit the player’s mentality.
Butler assured that the Warriors were confidently surge ahead of the critical Game 7 clash.
“It’s way higher. Now it’s a win or loss. Going home. It won’t shake. We know how good the team is,” Butler continued.
“Like you said, a few of us have been here many times.
It will be interesting to see what Butler does in the final game of the series. After all, he had a plus/minus-12 in Game 6.
