"I'm not totally happy with Celtic" - Brendan Rogers tilted for a Premier League return

Celtic may be the runaway leader of the SPFL Premiership, but he may risk losing manager Brendan Rogers again.

After Saturday’s 3-0 victory over the Midlothian Hart, Celtic scored 13 points at the top of the Scottish table, with another league title from the Glasgow Club beckoning. And for Rogers, it will be his fourth Premiership Crown, spanning two spells by Parkhead.

But that may not be enough for the Celts to keep Rogers at the club. The former Liverpool and Leicester City managers were leaning towards the Premier League return earlier this season, but the same thing happened again.

Former Man United and Blackburn Chief Scout Mick Brown told Football Insider he wouldn’t be surprised to see Rodgers move similar to what Rodgers made when he left Celtic for the Premier League.

“If Rogers was offered a Premier League job, he would take it. He is interested in returning to England and I don’t think he is completely happy with the Celtics.

“At this point, Celtic is dominant in Scotland, and no one will challenge them. They have to build on what they have in the transfer window. They control the roost and want to keep it that way. But Rogers wants more than that – he thinks about European football.

“It’s okay to be dominant in Scotland, but if they can strengthen enough to be competitive in Europe, he will be happy to stay. The t depends on whether the board is ready to match these ambitions. Because if they are happy with where they are, it’s not surprising to see him leave. So they’ll sit in the summer and he’ll ask how far they’re ready to go. He wasn’t as supportive as he liked in January. If the same applies in the summer, it won’t surprise me. ”
