Restricted free agent Josh Giddy has reached a four-year, $100 million deal deal for a re-signment with the Chicago Bulls.
Josh Giddy and the Chicago Bulls were moving back and forth between contract negotiations over the summer.
However, with the 2025-26 NBA season approaching, both sides have finally agreed to a new deal.
The news has earned immediate responses from fans and media members, including senior sports illustration author Chris Mannix, a huge fan of this Bulls’ Giddy contract.
Giddey was an impressive one for the Bulls in their first year with the team. He averaged 14.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 7.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game.
It seemed easy for both parties to agree to a new contract. However, contract negotiations with Giddey’s bull appeared to be stagnant.
Giddey reportedly wanted about $30 million a year, while the Bulls were hovering about $20 million.
The agreement will pay Giddey $25 million a year over the next four years. This is a Mannix contract.
Giddey found scaffolding with bulls as the season progressed.
After an All-Star break, the 22-year-old averaged 21.2 points, 10.7 rebounds and 9.3 assists per game as the Bulls scored a 17-10 victory record during that stretch.
Giddey also had 30 double doubles and seven triple doubles, leading the Bulls to appear in the play-in tournament in the East.
Giddey will be the focus of a young Bulls team with many other promising players, including Coby White, Matas Buzelis and NOA Essengue.
