Liverpool manager Arne Slott is currently secure in his job at Anfield despite the team’s recent poor form, according to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Dutch tactician won the Premier League title last season in his first year in charge, but had a very difficult start to his second season.
However, while Slott appears to still be backed by Liverpool, Romano claimed in a post on his YouTube channel that the Reds have no plans to make changes or consider alternative targets.
Liverpool have lost six of their last seven games in all competitions, but Slott will be given time to turn things around.
Fabrizio Romano talks about Arne Slott’s future at Liverpool
Discussing the latest information regarding the slot, Romano revealed that LFC has the full support of their manager and there is nothing to report at this time.
“Liverpool maintains their faith in Arne Slott,” said the Italian reporter.
“Internally at Liverpool, we believe that Arne Slott is the best person to resolve this situation. We had a disappointing start to the season, but it’s not the end of the world. There’s still time to recover, there’s still time to get back on track and they believe Arne Slott is the right person to resolve this situation. So that’s the focus.”
He added: “Liverpool are working hard to change things. But the feeling inside the club is that it is the owner, the manager, the management and the players, who share a very good relationship with Arne Slott.”
“Well, they are confident that Arne Slott is the right person for the job. So for now, please refrain from mentioning the topic of a replacement, who could be the manager and what kind of conversations can be had, because the situation is considered to be completely under control at the moment.”
“Of course we need results. We know this is a results industry, but at the moment Liverpool have not activated any other plans.”

Slott took on the difficult task of replacing club legend Jurgen Klopp when he took over last summer, and it’s safe to say he exceeded expectations.
Winning the Premier League title and reaching the Carabao Cup final in his first season was no bummer, and there’s no doubt he’s earned more minutes.
The 47-year-old has a better winning percentage than his predecessor, Klopp, so he will be convinced this is just a temporary thing.
Liverpool will look to get back to winning ways today when they take on Aston Villa in the Premier League.
