The tribute continues to be paid to Diogo Jota all over the world of football. Diogo Jota was killed overnight in a car accident in Spain, and also claimed the life of his younger brother Andre Silva.
Jurgen Klopp and Cristiano Ronaldo are among those who pay tribute to the casualties of the accident in an emotional social media post, with Liverpool fans putting shrines on former players outside Anfield.
The Premier League forward began his professional career with Pasos de Ferreira in his native Portugal, with the club’s former president sharing anecdotes about Jota’s personality as a person.
Paulo Meneseth pays homage to the “humble” Diogo Jota
Paulo Meneses has been rected to Ball Branca (via Renascença): “Thanks is the most important thing in life, and I think Jota was just that. I remember the last episode of Pasos de Ferreira being promoted to Primeira Liga (2019).
“The day we were champions, then after the promotion, he sent me a message five seconds after the game was over and saying, ‘We’re up again.’
He continued: “It’s incredible. Personal relationships cannot be distinguished from symbols. I would even say that he was Pasos de Ferreira’s living symbols and people who were part of its history, but also in personal terms, the greatest symbol of Pasos de Ferreira. He was someone I had a friendship with.
“He is a very humble person, not because we are fatally facing him, because it’s real. Diogo Jota was an incredible person with life, humility, work, selflessness, and examples.
Jota was a great guy and a talented soccer player.
Diogo Jota expanded the Heavy Heights with his playing career, winning the Premier League with Liverpool and the UEFA Nations League with Portugal, but Meneseth’s story shows that the forward never missed fame and lived in the virtues of humility and hard work.
Another such example was the message of support for a footballer in 2021, supporting a young Reds fan who was experiencing particularly difficult times in his life.
Further insight into his character was provided in a statement from the Portuguese, who lamented his tragic death and described him as describing him.Extraordinary people, I’m respected by all colleague and Opponent, someone and a Contagious joy and a reference in His My own community’.
Diogo Jota and Andre Silva could have been taken from us too quickly, and there were no words to justice to the sense of loss that our family and friends are experiencing now. But in a very short time in our world, they influenced the lives of many people, ensuring that they would be important forever.
