India’s national cricket team hit his historic lows despite Rishabhpants’ excellent batting performance in the opener of the Test series against Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal and the National Cricket Team of England.
Team India suffered a terrible collapse on the second day of the first Test against the England National Cricket Team in Headingley, Leeds on Saturday, June 21st, registering an unnecessary record.

India lost seven wickets with just 41 runs
The Shubman Gill-led side, who had been playing their first Test match in the absence of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma for a long time, showed great batting performances in English soil.
The opening duo of Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul have led India to a great start as they have built a solid opening partnership of 91 runs. India lost Saku Skullsan to the duck, but Shubman Gill joined forces with Yashasvi Jaiswar to stabilize the innings.
The duo was hit very well, and both youngsters denounced the amazing ton. After Jaiswal fell, Rishabhpants joined forces with Shubmangill, and he also bumped into a brilliant century.
When Gill came out on the fifth ball for the 101st, the visitors found themselves in a strong position at 430/3, appearing to easily break the 500-run mark.
But that didn’t happen as India suffered a shocking collapse, lost seven wickets in 41 runs and was bundled to 471 runs in 113 overs (430/4, 453/6, 454/7, 458/8, 469/9, 471/10).
Although India’s largest innings total in away tests since 622/7D total in Sydney in 2019, the visiting team recorded the lowest overall total in their test history, sometimes including three individuals. Centurion’s 475 South Africa in 2016 was a record low total with three separate tons.

471 looks much better than it was for England – Michael Atherton
Speaking about Sky Sports, former England skipper Michael Atherton said he was happy that the three lions would stop visitors at 471. He said:
“Tan’s numbers weren’t visible quite an hour ago, but he finishes with a smile and four wickets. India is doing very well, but the 471 looks much better for England.
In the same interaction, former Englishman Skippernaserfsain states:
“England went on and did his best to wicket, but bowling India is a double-edged sword as the lights are on and the ball is starting to move. India fantasizes chances.”
Meanwhile, speaking about the BBC Test match special, former England captain Michael Vaughn said he was pleased with Ben Stokes & Company’s performance in the final hour of India’s innings. He said:
“These wickets give Josh’s tongue confidence. We didn’t have a great day yesterday. England are pleased with this final hour of play, but they need to play really well with the bat.”
He also warned the UK, saying that Jaspuri’s Bumura-led bowling would be fierce on them. He said:
“You’ll see Ben Stokes and he’ll be happy. But now the game begins. Indian sailors are used to bowl on these surfaces and fantasize about themselves. Jaspribumra is world class.”
