Right-handed batting all-rounder Vijay Shankar began his domestic career with the Tamil Nadu cricket team in 2012, playing in 58 Ranji Trophy games up until last season. He scored 3,142 runs down orders at an average of 44.25, making his name the 11th century.
His List A career looks just as gorgeous as the Tamil Nadu side. He was featured in 106 games and averaged 2,632 runs with nearly 35 people averaging.

Vijay Shankar confirms move to Tripura in the new Indian domestic season
Shortly after Hanuma Vihari’s movement was confirmed yesterday, Vijay Shankar sent a shockwave with a move from TNCA to Tripura Cricket Association for the upcoming domestic season. Asian Cup 2025.
“I got the NOC from TNCA, but I haven’t yet been confirmed by the Tripura Cricket Association. Once I have obtained the official approval form from Tripura, I can officially announce the Switch,” Shankar said.
All-round batsman Vijay Shankar is featured in nine T20ISs and 12 ODIs, including the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup. He has 223 ODI runs and 101 T20I runs, picking four and five wickets in the format, respectively.

Officials from the Tripura Cricket Association told Cricbuzz late on Tuesday evening that Vijay Shankar will join Hanuma Vihari as a professional cricketer this season. Reports suggest that Tripura competes in the elite division in all three formats: Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
India’s domestic cricket season is about to begin with the Durep Trophy, which was scheduled for the start of the 2025 Asian Cup. The Asian Cup 2025 is scheduled to start on September 9th. Hanuma Vihari could lead Tripura next season.

Meanwhile, Hanuma Bihari has issued an official statement on his move to Tripura side ahead of the next domestic season. In a social media post Tuesday evening, he said: “After thoughtful consideration, I decided to move to the Tripura Cricket Association, where I will represent the state in all three formats of the game.
“I am grateful to the Andra Cricket Association for the role I have played in my journey so far, but I think it is time for a platform that better fits with my aspirations.
