The Los Angeles have some unfortunate injuries renewal ahead of this weekend’s final regular season series with the Seattle Mariners.
Block Stewart will be in the season
Major trade deadline acquisition Brock Stewart has undergone shoulder surgery and will be officially made public for the rest of the year. The right-hander met Dr. Neil Ellatrach. He was then determined to need end-of-season surgery.
The traded James Outman for Stewart ahead of the deadline. Stewart won a 4.91 ERA in just four appearances in LA.
Max Muncy Injury Update
Max Muncy deals with damage to the unspecified lower half that kept him out of the lineup. Manager Dave Roberts said he is not yet concerned about Muncie’s availability for Tuesday’s wildcard opening game.
Tommy Edman injury update
Tommy Edman is out as he continues to nurse ankle injuries, but Roberts is hoping to return before the end of the regular season.
Will Smith injury update
Roberts said Will Smith is more “hope” than “hopeful” that will become available for the wildcard series. If Smith can’t play, Ben Rothveda will become the team’s main catcher.
