Blakesnell injury update
Left-handed pitcher Blakesnell, who hasn’t pitched since April 2, is expected to return to the Major League Rotation this weekend with a team’s series against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Roberts said it’s still unclear which game Snell will start, but it’s going to be Saturday or Sunday.
Snell made only two starts this season, allowing runs he scored in nine innings with eight walks and four strikeouts before being sidelined with shoulder injuries.
Max Muncy Injury Update
Another approaching a return is the third base hand Max Mancy, who has begun rehabilitation assignments in Oklahoma City on Tuesday. Roberts said Muncie will play 3 bases and take three at-bats, but the number of rehabilitation games he will play hasn’t been decided yet.

Roberts said the “slim chance” will return this weekend, but it is likely that he will join the team next week at the homestands that begin on Monday, August 4th.
Muncie has not been ruled out for a month from a knee injury that suffered at the beginning of the month.
Kiké Hernandez injury update
As for some of the less positive news, Roberts said utility man Kique Hernandez has not yet been in baseball. In other words, he has come a long way from his return.
Nevertheless, he is expected to return this season as he recovers from an elbow injury.
Tony Gonzolin damage update
Finally, there is Tony Gonzolin, a right-handed pitcher. Roberts said he wasn’t close to starting the throwing program. Roberts admitted last week that Gonzolin is probably running out of time to return this season.
