Aston Villa could be set up for another busy summer, but it could be a transfer window affected by the PSR. With so much money spent over the last 12 months, you may need the sales you need to balance your book and appease the Premier League.

Aston Villa hopes to be able to compete in the Champions League next season, but with four games going for them, their job is tough. If they miss out, they could be under more pressure to address PSR concerns, and that’s where sales start.

One of the best candidates to be sold in this situation is Tottenham’s long-term target, Jacob Ramsey. As the 23-year-old is an academy graduate, his sales represent the pure profits of Aston Villa. And as a result, as Mick Brown told Soccer Insider, they are accepting sales in the summer.

“Jacob Ramsey is what I hear that I can leave the villa. It’s a bit like the situation at Man United’s Cobby Mine, where it’s sold to sell the issue to raise money for financial issues.

“I don’t think the manager knows that Ramsey is right in his plan. He plays midfield and wide outside without establishing himself everywhere. There’s a player ahead of him in both positions, so if there’s a big offer, I think they’ll sell.

“From his perspective, he would also like to play regular first team football at this stage of his career and I don’t think he’ll get it at Villa. So it could be a valid deal for all involved, and offering a fee is the right thing to do and I’m sure he’s not interested because he’s a talented player.”
