According to MLB Insider Bob Knightgale, the Los Angeles are looking for a left-handed batsman.

“The have been scrutinizing the market recently for bats that have been hit by left-handed bats from the bench,” Knight Engale wrote.
Baseball business president Andrew Friedman doesn’t sit daze off while trade deadlines approach. The have some needs heading into the summer, but the front office appears to be focused on gaining depth.
The currently lead the league with batting averages (.270) and OPS (.861). Hyeseong Kim and Dalton Rushing are both newly promoted rookies and left-handed pairs coming out of the LA bench
Kim hit .404 on two home runs, with seven runs hit and OPS at .994. The Utility Man also has five stolen bases in the season.
He’s only had 26 at-bats so far in the rush, but has hit .231 with .644 on one home run, seven RBIs and OPS. Like Will Smith’s backup, the 24-year-old probably won’t get a ton of playtime, but it appears he’s making the most of his start.
Kim’s arrival and rushing to the clubhouse added a youngster’s spark to the oldest roster in MLB.
Now, the may be trying to add a left-handed batsman seasoned by the bench. This shows that another position player on the roster can be cut straight away. The designated Austin Burns for their allocation and released Chris Taylor within the week.
If the acquire a left-handed batsman to add to the roster, another bench player could be at risk of losing their spot.
