Inter manager Simone Inzagi admitted that he feels his team is burdening a tough season after losing 3-0 to AC Milan in the Coppa Italia semi-finals on Wednesday.
With Serie A and Champions League titles still on, Inzagi is worried after two consecutive losses following Sunday’s 1-0 league loss to Bologna, but urged players to overcome the set break.
“Of course (I’m worried). We’re not used to losing two in a row,” Inzagi told Sports Media Set.
“We need to analyze both defeats in the right way. We didn’t deserve to lose in Bologna. We ran out of energy in the second half tonight.
“We have to continue. We have both physical and mental fatigue. We need to be stronger than all of that.”
As Ty was locked 1-1 from the first leg, Luka Giovic scored twice for Milan, while Tijani Reyjuns scored a third, and saw the intellectuals being eliminated by their great rivals.
“This journey has brought us a lot of joy, but it also brought some disappointments like tonight,” Inzagi said.
“We should have done better. There was no sharpness in both boxes at key moments in the game.”

The Italian manager insisted that a packed schedule is not an excuse, but his team must regain confidence ahead of the final stretch of the season and hosting Loma on Sunday.
“We had more schedules than others, but again, that’s not an excuse,” Inzagi said. “If we didn’t reach the (COPPA) final, that means we didn’t do enough.
“We have one month left and we have to continue with confidence, and tonight, Milan deserves it and it is right for them to go to the finals.
“We will bounce everything against Rome on Sunday and give it all.”
Milan’s victory means they will have two finals in their single season, beating Inter in the Super Coppa Italia Na Finals for the first time since 2007-2008.
It was also the third time Milan lost three derbys against Inter in one season after doing so earlier in 1971-72 and 2004-05.
