Sunday, May 18th was the doubleheader day in the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) and saw the battle between the Rajasthan Royals (RR) and the Punjab Kings (PBK) and the clash between the Delhi Capitals (DC) and the Gujarat Titan (GT).
RR VS PBK, Match 59 was hosted by Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, while DC VS GT, Match 60 was hosted by Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

In the first match of the day, the Punjab Kings won a toss and were selected to hit first. They posted a huge total of 219/5 on the board, riding on the incredible batting performances of Nehal Wadhera (37-70 off), Shashank Singh (59* Off 30), and Azmatullah Omarzai (21* Off 9). The bowler at Rajasthan Royals struggled overall, but Tushar Deshpande (2/37) emerged as the top performer.
Chasing the target, Yashasvi Jaiswal (50), Dhruv Jurel (53) and Vaibhav Suryavanshi (40) hit brilliantly, but RR was limited to 209/7. Harpreet Brar (3), Marco Jansen (2) and Azmatullah Omarzai (2) ruled the ball and helped the Punjab Kings register a 10-run victory.
The Gujarat Titans won a toss and were first selected to the field in the second match of the day. The GT bowling unit limited DC to 199/3 despite KL Rahul’s 112* runs in sensational innings.
Following their targets, Sai Sudalsan (108*) and Shubman Gill (93*) showed the bowler of the Delhi Capitals in ignorance, showing exceptional batting performances to help GT complete the run chase in 19 overs and win by 10 wickets.

Prior to the match on Sunday, May 18th, the Punjab Kings finished third with a net run rating of 15 points in 11 matches and a net run rating of 0.376, while the Rajasthan Royals were 9th in 12 matches with a net run rate of -0.718.
The Gujarat Titans also came in second with a net run rating of 16 points in 11 games and a net run rate of 0.793, while the Delhi Capitals were fifth with a net run rate of 13 points in 11 games and a net run rate of 0.362. Here is the updated table:
