The summer transfer business at Liverpool is now fully flowing as manager Arne Slot is making some major moves.
The Premier League champions have already secured the signatures of three promising players.
Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez were all announced this summer as new signatures at Anfield.
However, players leaving the club or approaching the exit also have movement.
Red is ready for some departures
Darwinnes has linked his move to Naples, and it appears that his time in the Premier League is coming to an end.
Jarell Quansah is approaching his move to Bayer Leverkusen, but players like Federico Chiesa and Harvey Elliott are also facing an uncertain future.
Another player most likely to leave the club this summer is left back Costas Tsimika.
Already signing Kerquez this summer, and due to Andy Robertson’s presence, the Greek fullback has fallen further into the order of the pecking order, and it may be time for him to say goodbye to the Merseyside club.
Commentator Ian Dark feels that Tsimikas is due to leave the Reds this summer, and he feels that he will be a useful signature for one of the teams promoted.
He told Liverpool News:
“I don’t know what the inside track is inside the club, but I think Milosquelquez is signed from Bournemouth, and that would be for him and Robertson to compete for that position.
“So, yes, he appears to be overloaded with the requirements. Of course, the club had to balance the book and there was player throughput.
“He wasn’t a sensational Liverpool signature, but I think he proved to be very useful in spinning Robertson around.
“I think he’s a player that’s a good signing to one of the promoted clubs.”
Leaving Liverpool makes sense for Tsimica
Despite being a loyal serving squad member since its arrival in 2020, Tsimikas has always been active in the shadow of Robertson.
His Premier League involvement fell to 18 league appearances in 2024/25, marking another season of limited action.
From a Liverpool perspective, Tsimikas’ departure will free wages and provide transfer funds for perhaps further investment in the mid-range and attacking areas.
The 29-year-old has shown interest in signing him, a switch to a club like Leeds United probably offers the opportunity to play a week.
