West Ham has been struggling with the offense this season, but for one commentator, there is a suggestion that this could be self-harmed by coach Graham Potter.
In recent years, West Ham has struggled to recruit prolific strikers. Niclas Fullkrug was signed by Borussia Dortmund last summer, but he has performed considerably since his arrival, which often saw Jarrod Bowen and Mohamed Kudus play more centrally.
Evan Ferguson was signed to a loan from Brighton in January as a solution to the problem, but it is clear that he is not considered by Potter.
Graham Potter’s Evan Ferguson causes confusion in Sky Sports
According to West Hamzone, Sky Sports expert Michael Dodson was baffled by Potter’s decision not to bring Ferguson to Fulkurg, who was replaced by midfielder Thomas Sousek.
“Niclas Fullkrug has come out. I think Evan Ferguson can take you, just like a straight exchange.
It was a difficult season for Ferguson. He struggled to break into the Brighton team earlier in the campaign, which prompted him to move to West Ham over the winter. But it turns out to have failed just as badly.
Ferguson will definitely return to Brighton at the end of the season. It will be interesting to see what happens to him at that point. He was considered one of the top strikers outlooks in the Premier League, but was a recent campaign, just like the 2023-24 campaign, but that title certainly isn’t something he can hold on to now, but time is on his side.
