Carlos Plates suffered his first setback in the UFC after a perfect 4-0 run in 2024, losing his decision to Ian Machado Garry in the main event of Saturday’s Kansas City Show, but he has since vowed to become a better fighter.
The Brazilian welterweight issued a short statement in Portuguese using his Instagram page, rather than part of the postwar press conference after a 25-minute clash with Garry in Kansas City.
“Unfortunately, I couldn’t finish the fight, but that wasn’t enough,” Prates wrote. “Sorry, I’ll come back strongly.”
Pleats helped the fighting nerd team make their appearance 19-0 in the UFC. In the top four of Kaio Bolarjo, Jansilva and Mauriciolafi, Foursam is 19-1 after their defeat.
“f*ck it, we are family and we will be champions together. We will experience this together,” Silva wrote on social media. “And to all of you who have already criticized me, you guys, I have been with ‘nightmares’ even in other lives. ”
Borralho, considered to be something like “team captain” from Sao Paulo Group, also shared the video on social media supporting his teammates.
“I would like to thank you for all of the love that you all came to our team and everyone, Carlos and everyone,” Boraljo said. “Carlos is good. We take this loss as a man and we know that we have always grown up after such a severe loss. And I think we will come back. We will do our best.
“And while Carlos will return stronger and much better than today, Ian, congratulations to you, Shootbox, and congratulations to you all for the utmost respect. I’m going to pay attention to you guys who show love to the team and everyone on the team. We’re changing the game.
