Nikola Jokic continues to leave everyone speechless with his elite performances.
Nikola Jokic has been great all season, but his recent performance against the Los Angeles Clippers may have been his best yet.
The 30-year-old dominated the Clippers with 25 points in the first quarter and 33 in the first half, and by the end of the third quarter he had 52 points.
Jokic finished the game with 55 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 assists. The most impressive thing about his performance is that he made an incredible 18 of 23 shots.
Jokic has been consistently great, and his absurd stat lines have become the norm.
Jokic averaged a triple-double all last season and is on pace to do it again this season.
Does Nico Harrison deserve to be fired?
The big man continues to set the bar higher, and even Danny Green admits people take him for granted.
Green also said Jokic should have the same conversation with LeBron James.
“It’s a shame, everything Jokic does, we take it for granted.
“He’s been in the conversation with LeBron. He’s been in the MVP conversation for six months now.
“And not only does he do it inside, he does it from 3. His numbers are unbelievable.
“He does it so often and so easily that people don’t appreciate it or respect it.
“He has a 50-point triple-double and makes it look easy.”
As crazy as it sounds, Jokic still has a chance to become the greatest player of all time if he continues to put up incredible numbers and earn more NBA hardware.
If he maintains this pace and the Denver Nuggets look like legitimate favorites, Jokic should have a great chance to win his fourth MVP award.
If Jokic wins another MVP, an NBA Championship, and a Finals MVP this season, he will join exclusive company.
Still, Jokic has a long way to go before being named the greatest player of all time, but he’s certainly on the right path.
Where will Anthony Davis be traded after Nico Harrison is fired?
He turns 31 in February and shows no signs of slowing down. Even if Jokic can continue playing at an elite level for at least five more years, there’s no telling what his resume will look like then.
