Golden State Warriors star Jimmy Butler has mastered the skills that the NBA community has denounced Shy Gilgauss Alexander.
Jimmy Butler has had an unrealistic impact on the Golden State Warriors since he was traded with the organization in the middle of the season.
In fact, Butler recently won his team for the first time in the NBA Play-In Tournament, earning his seventh seed in the Western Conference.
It was an impressive 121-116 victory, but many NBA fans believed that Butler and the Warriors were rewarded with unfair whistles by officials.
Things like LeBron James and Shy Gilgauss Alexander have been consistently neglected by the NBA community as they blow unfair whisky from refs.
In fact, they have been called all sorts of names by their fans throughout their careers. But the reality is that the Warriors butler deserves part of that heat.
why? Now let’s compare Butler’s career with Minnesota Timberwolves legend Kevin Garnett. It may seem unfair as Garnett scored 26,071 points in his NBA career.
Butler, meanwhile, has just 15,898 points in his name.
10,173 career points difference. However, when it comes to free throws, Jimmy has already surpassed KG on the list.
So far, Butler has taken 4,920 shots from the charity stripes, compared to 4,887 shots from Garnet. Butler is already shooting 33 free throws than the ticket.
It’s really surprising as KG had a 21-year stint in the NBA, in contrast to Jimmy, who hasn’t completed 15 seasons in the league.
Butler is currently in the 14th season of his NBA career. Certainly, he is in his mid-30s, but the Warriors star has found a way to stay competitive.
The main reason behind it is Butler’s free throw shooting. To put things in perspective, Jimmy has maintained a winning streak that makes at least 300 free throws from the 2014-15 NBA season, aka 11 straight wins.
In fact, even during the Warriors’ recent victory over the Grizzlies, Butler scored 12 of 38 points from the free throw line. Well, that’s what you call relying on getting a consistent foul call.
A slightly more surprising statistic is that Butler tried 62 shots from the free throw line and field in the Warriors’ final five games.
