Ja Morant went viral again after the Memphis Grizzlies were eliminated from the NBA playoffs by the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Grizzlies lose four straight games to OKC with an average of 19.5 points and are now facing a difficult offseason with many questions.
However, Morant said he “knows” the lightning and that he would have won the series midway through Game 3, if not due to his injuries.
He has received a lot of backlash in the NBA circles, and Chris Bruthard is the latest Chime Inn, making interesting points about the Hall of Fame.
Morant was a great player throughout the first six seasons of his NBA career, but he is often caught up in both major and minor controversy.
So, although both his physicality and skill set are world class, many people doubt whether he has the mentality that will lead his team to the championship.
Broussard is the latest basketball expert to blow up Morant with his latest “silly” comments, and shares his broader concern that he doesn’t meet his “Hall of Fame” potential.
“Oh my goodness,” Brussard said. “Even though he’s off the court, I like JA. I want JA to reach his potential, but the more he says and does, the more I think he’ll go.
“I’ve seen Gilbert Arena and guys getting off to these great starts in their careers, and I’m going to take it a bit off, Steve Francis has begun to be inducted into the Hall of Fame for his career.
“This is Ashinin. JA, you were there for a 51-point loss. You were there for a 19-point loss in Game 2. Why did it take so long (to figure them out). Did you not study before the season started?
“I’m not even counting games where he got injured. He was 0-4 in the regular season and was in the playoffs with OKC. They lost an average of 25 points. The closest game was 13 points.

The Grizzlies have become mediocre, arguably the worst situation for the NBA team. The roster doesn’t have the current abilities or potential to compete for the championship.
Now, some organizations can make playoffs every season and remain relevant to some extent without threatening to win everything.
However, teams that really care about winning will make the moves they need to improve in the short or long term.
For the Grizzlies who don’t own the first pick this year, they need to make sure they get into a complete rebuild.
Morant is probably worth putting on a trade block first, especially if backup point guard Scotty Pippen JR is impressed with the OKC series.
