The Minnesota Timberwolves remained disappointed that they couldn’t hold back their home court in the opener against Golden State.
The Golden State Warriors’ opening victory raised even more eyebrows as Stephen Curry was injured and missed the entire second half.
Minnesota Timber Wolves star Jaden McDaniels tried to explain the defeat, saying, “When we play a team without the best players, we sometimes struggle.”
The Timberwolves can clearly grasp as much as the warriors as Stephen Curry is set to miss at least the next three games after the MRI of his hamstring injury returns.
Speaking to the media in practice after the defeat, Jaden McDaniels admits that the Timberwolves need to readjust.
With curry now on the sidelines, McDaniels says the team must give Buddy Heald a bit more extra focus.
He explained:
“He’s doing it in the playoffs, so try closing the water.”
After a terrible 0-point game 6 against the Rockets, Buddy Heald exploded 33 points in Game 7, earning an astounding nine threes.
He then filmed a 24-point performance against the Timberwolves 5-8 from the three, giving the Warriors the juice they needed to keep the lead in curry.
McDaniels added: “You can’t let a comfortable rhythm play without Steph.”
Buddy Hield is an integral part of the locker room for the Warriors and contributes to the court at times of importance.
Speaking after the game, he explained how he went to check out the curry as soon as possible and knew he had to step up.
Kendrick Perkins praised the Warriors’ winning culture has had on HIELD since joining the team a year ago.
Of course, hield is still unstable. In the Rockets series, we recorded low scores of 5, 4, and 2 along with 0.
Now there is curry and the double effect of having to rise under pressure, addressing the special attention from the Timberwolves that is now being prepared.
